JBK Roofing Company History

Originally JBK Roofing, Inc. was established in 1988 as a property management company in Eastern Kentucky. One issue that continually plagued our managed properties, was leaking roofs…..more specifically low slope or flat roofs.   Flat roof contractors that would not stand behind their warranties, poor quality or second hand materials, and/or substandard workmanship name a few of the constant challenges encountered when maintaining our roofs.

In response to our on-going roof challenges, we created JBK, Inc. Roofing Division in 1997. Out of necessity we proactively addressed our roof problems and what we learned became the basis for how we relate to our clients – excellent materials, excellent workmanship, and competitive price. Over the years we have grown into a roofing company that provides a wide range of roof services.

We specialize in commercial and industrial flat roofing systems along with related sheet metal for our clients throughout the mid-South.  The main roof system that we install, and the only one we use on our buildings is a custom-fabricated, single-ply PVC material called Duro-Last®. We are certified as an Elite Master Contractor by Duro-Last®, which means we are required to maintain high quality standards and achieve specific quantity goals each and every year. Duro-Last Roofing System is watertight, highly reflective, resistant to chemicals, fire and high winds, as well as low maintenance.

We are members in the National Roofing Contractors Association and the Kentucky Roofing Contractors Association. We are certified roofing contractors in the KRCA, which means that we are bonded and fully insured.

Our client list ranges from the Army Corps or Engineers, school systems, retail stores, commercial properties, industrial buildings, and several restaurant chains.
